As I said, writing a paper is always a work in progress and it can be difficult to keep up the momentum of your work. This can be difficult, but is certainly worth it. I always try to divide my paper into different chapters, and sometimes even smaller sub-sections to break the paper down into more manageable chunks. This is also where you want to split your material into shorter sections, which will make it easier to write about. As you decide how long you will be writing for, start writing out each sub-section. Write a detailed description of the section, such as who the section is for, why you are writing the section, and when the section needs to be written. These are key points to consider when writing out your outlines.Write a title for your outline, and try to come up with something catchy. It could be something really witty or just short and to the point. However you decide to title your outline, it will make it much easier to find later when you have the outlines sitting in front of you. You should always be writing down your titles and sub-headings, so that you can look at them later to see if you actually need to c hange them. In the event that you did change them, you can still go back and see how they turned out, and see if it will work better for your writing needs.The next aspect of how to write an outline for a research paper is to figure out how many pages you need to write out. Again, I am always tempted to get lazy, and only worry about this one aspect of my paper, but you should always plan your outline based on how many pages you think you will need to write. Once you have decided on how many pages you need to write, divide them up into manageable sections, then divide those sections up into sub-sections.Now that you have your outline, it is time to start writing! Start writing down ideas in the order that you learned to write them down earlier. Start off with a great idea and slowly make your way through the other ideas, especially if they require a lot of rewriting later.Last but not least, start writing down ideas in groups, rather than individual ideas. For example, if you have t wo main ideas, write them down in groups of three. That way you will have a rough idea of the direction that you want to take for your research paper and you can get more organized, and focus on what you need to focus on.
